Having recently moved yet again – with our move far from over, we encountered a lot of people wanting to “help”. Moving is, in fact, an extremely stressful event. I am far from over this move. With items broken and missing – it is like trying to have to start life again. Here are some tips for those who don’t move, who have never moved before, who won’t ever need to because of being able to own somewhere already. These tips are here to share what you can really do if you want to help… and some things that should sooner be avoided.

Our Shocking Move – We Have Landed – But What a Disaster – Totally Broken…
One of the hardest things one can experience when moving is having to deal with the necessary time in closing off accounts at one apartment and then opening and changing accounts from previous owners in the new apartment one is moving into – into one’s own name. It is a full-time job which lasts roughly a week or two to make sure everything is taken care of. I don’t know how one does this and still manages to earn a living while one sits waiting on the phone for hours, faxing new forms and making sure everything is up to date on every side – both from the point of view of the old landlord as well as from the new landlord. As for ourselves, we are definitely falling and I just don’t know how to cope any longer!
Stability and A Woman Who Lived in a Shoe – Part 5 in Our Latest Move
There was an old woman who lived in a shoe…
We probably all know that nursery rhyme – by heart! It was a dreadful story – strangely like many other nursery rhymes we are taught. One wonders about the real value of such things taught to young children – who are destined to lead the world in the future generation…
Our Tiring Move Continues (Part 3) – Together with Our Complete Exhaustion
Yesterday was simply another draining day. Running backwards and forwards for a number of things. When does it end? We don’t have a car and the boxes you see in the picture are collected from the store close to 1 kilometre away and then carried by hand home. It’s exhausting! The only other choice is to come up with an additional 4000-5000 Shekels and have the movers bring their own boxes and pack our items up for us!

Rabbi Nachman of Breslov teaches:
Rabbi Shimon ben Yochai promised that the Torah would never be forgotten from the Jewish people because of him as our Rabbis teach (Shabbat 138b), “When our Rabbis entered into Kerem BeYavneh they said, ‘In the future, the Torah is destined to be forgotten from the Jewish people’ and Rabbi Shimon ben Yochai said it will not be forgotten as it says, ‘It will not be forgotten from its offspring’. As it says in the Zohar (Nasso 124b): Through this book, which is the Book of the Zohar they will be redeemed from their exile.”

The wisest of all men – King Solomon shares with us a secret about the relationship between the Jewish people and God. He writes the most beautiful words fitting for a relationship between two lovers, in his classic Song of Songs. Here, he includes the ups and downs of any relationship. What keeps the relationship strong, is a unique love. Even during the “downs”, the relationship is sealed by something quite mysterious!
