Rabbi Osher Weiss is a well known Posek in Israel. These are his words about the dangers of not observing the proscriptions during this time of the plague of the corona-virus. Though in Hebrew, it is worthwhile for those who understand these words.
Rabbi Weiss is clear, our health takes precedence over everything else. It is vital to do everything we can to increase (look after) our lives and not to take an apathetic attitude of just thinking that in any case elderly people will die etc. He shares an alternative for those who regularly immerse in the Mikvah each day as well.
His words are sincere. He is a giant in Torah. Just like the other giants of Torah I have already posted about on this page, it is vital to listen to these words, to grow up and mature, and realise that our lives are important. The lives of our parents and grandparents are important, and the lives of every other person around us are important. Let us make sure to take care of our own health, and make sure that we in no way intrude on causing a health problem for another.
